After a competitive selection process, Artaaj was chosen to manage the 2nd Graduation of students for the prestigious Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi.
At the event, guests were greeted by hostesses in gold and blue uniforms, PI volunteers and traditional gahwa service. Petroleum Institute flags and roll-ups also lead guests to the pre function area. The event was attended by more than 800 guests and the Emirates Palace Auditorium was washed in blue and green lights with two huge logos projected on the side walls. Flowers adorned the front of the stage and were coordinated with the VIP tables centrepieces. Taking centre stage was the beautiful backdrop which was used for the final graduation photo as the students proudly stood on the risers with their graduations certificates and gifts.
The evening’s graduation was introduced with inspirational speeches by H.E. Yousef Omair Bin Yousef, CEO – ADNOC and Chairman, PI Governing Board; Mr. C.D. Mote, Jr. President, University of Maryland; Dr. Michael M. Ohadi, Chief Academic Officer and Acting Executive Director & was followed by a thank-you speech by a student representative.
The ceremony itself flowed smoothly with live feed capturing the whole graduation. The graduates were very pleased to be attending such a prestigious ceremony and the smiles and cheers of the guests also exuded pride. Once the ceremony had drawn to a close, the guests were led to the ballroom for their buffet dinner.
It was great to have a pat on the back after the event, with an email from the PI Student Affairs office awaiting us the following day: “I would like to express my appreciation of the excellent performance of your team in outstanding event organizing. It is evident that this high performance team is lead by a good management.” It was great to work with all the team at PI & ADNOC PR, and we sure look forward to it next year!
