Artaaj was commissioned to handle the ‘Partnering for Dugong Conservation Program & Book Launch’ event by Total ABK in Abu Dhabi, which was for the formal renewing of the Dugong conservation contract between Total Foundation and EAD and the launch of the coffee table edition of ‘Abu Dhabi: Nature Preserved’ by Claude Rives, a photo journalist, published by National Geographic along with Total Foundation.
It took place at Al Mamoora Building Auditorium on 16th November and was attended by all stakeholders of this event – Total UAE, Total ABK, Total Foundation, Environmental Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD) & National Geographic.
The scope of work handled by Artaaj included: concept, design and production of invitations; complete auditorium, stage décor and branding; set-up of 2 display walls and easels to display 22 pictures from the book; handling registration of all guests by hostesses; and mechanics of the formal unveil of the book. After speeches from the head of Total UAE and Secretary General of EAD, the signing of the renewed contract for Dugong conservation took place, which has been on from 1999.
A brief presentation on the book by the author followed. The formal joint unveiling of the book by the head of Total UAE, Secretary General of EAD and the author happened in the lobby. A book signing and photo ops by the author took place thereafter. The event closed with the selected posters from the book, designed and produced by Artaaj being presented to the VIPs as mementos.
